Gov’t Opens Applications for ‘Shades of Mind’ Art Exhibition

The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts has announced the opening of applications for the ‘Shades of Mind’ art exhibition to raise awareness and promote dialogue about mental health. This event is scheduled for 12 to 17 November 2024 and is free for all attendees.

Open to young artists aged 16 to 35, the event encourages creative expression on themes such as:
– Unveiling Emotions
– Breaking the Silence / Encouraging Dialogue
– Embracing Recovery / Journey Towards Wellness
– Inner Canvas
An anonymous engagement section will allow visitors to share their experiences and access vital mental health resources.
The exhibition aims to:
– Foster discussions about mental health.
– Emphasise that seeking help is a strength.
– Create a judgement-free environment for sharing.
– Raise awareness of mental health challenges and stigma.
Artists are invited to submit their applications by 25th October 2024 to ensure their work is included in this important conversation. The application link and further guidelines can be accessed online.
The Ministry encourages participation in this initiative to help foster a supportive community around mental health through the medium of art.
