Universal Enterprises Sponsors Advanced Medical Training for Doctors
Universal Enterprises, a prominent tourism company in the Maldives, announced today its sponsorship of three doctors for advanced training in various medical specialities.
The scholarships were awarded to the recipients during a ceremony held at the Universal office. The recipients of the fully funded scholarships are:
- Dr. Fathimath Mishfa Naseem: Master’s in Otolaryngology (Ears, Nose, Throat – ENT)
- Dr. Nuha Abdul Rahman: Master’s in Paediatrics (Children’s)
- Dr. Aminath Najudha: Master’s in Surgery
All three doctors will pursue their specialisations in Malaysia.
This initiative is part of Universal Enterprises’ ongoing commitment to improving the lives of Maldivians, a mission the company has championed for the past 41 years, now continued by the Universal Foundation.
Since its inception in 2014, the Universal Foundation has awarded 121 scholarships to Maldivian students, with 15 currently studying abroad, according to the foundation’s report.
In addition to scholarships, the Universal Foundation provides both direct and indirect support for developmental, social, and various aid programmes conducted by the government and other organisations in the Maldives.
