Since the redevelopment of Sultan Park during the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen, the council has not undertaken any major repairs or assessments. In response, it has now decided to evaluate the site and proceed with awarding a contract for refurbishment.

According to the notice, interested contractors must submit their information and pricing details to the procurement section. The process includes a clarification session scheduled for 18 February 2025 at 9:00 AM, followed by a bid submission deadline on 24 February 2025 at 10:00 AM.

The announcement states that the project is open to Maldivian companies, partnerships, local investors, and business licence holders.
