The Ministry of Environment has reissued a call for sealed bids for the repair and upgrade of the environmental research vessel Thimaaveshi. The new invitation, announced in the government gazette on 18 May, seeks bids for the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of additional equipment for the vessel, which plays a key role in environmental monitoring and research.

This latest tender follows the cancellation of two previous bid announcements. The ministry stated that the project forms part of the Maldives Clean Environment Project, jointly funded by the World Bank and the Government of the Maldives.
