Fahi Dhirulhun Corporation Limited (FDC) has signed agreements with more than 1,000 recipients of the first 4,000 flats constructed under the former MDP administration’s ‘Gedhoruveriya’ housing scheme.
FDC described the signing as a significant milestone in the implementation of the project. The process began on 21 July and is being carried out from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at desks set up at the Hulhumalé Synthetic Track. Recipients are scheduled for appointments and notified through the corporation’s Fahi Portal.
According to FDC, signings are initially being conducted for flats in towers that are already completed and ready for handover. The corporation stated that the handover will take place after the final finishing works are completed, including the installation of doors, windows, fans, bathroom fixtures, tiling and wall painting.
Housing Minister Dr Abdulla Muthalib previously announced that work had been completed on 1,000 flats out of the total 4,000 and expressed confidence that all flats would be handed over by the end of September.
