Rector of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Osman Bakar, paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu at the President’s Office yesterday morning.
During the meeting, President Muizzu and Professor Emeritus Dr Osman Bakar discussed ways to strengthen collaboration in higher education, including potential partnerships in PhD programmes.

The President expressed his appreciation for IIUM’s continued support for Maldivian students pursuing studies at the university.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to exploring future cooperation and partnerships to further enhance educational ties between the Maldives and Malaysia.
