Authorities Urge Public to Exercise Caution As Rough Weather Forecasted Across Maldives

The Maldives Police Service has advised the public to exercise caution as rough seas and strong winds are expected across the country.

The advisory follows a forecast issued by the Maldives Meteorological Service (MET Office), which predicts rain, gusty winds, and the possibility of swell waves during high tide, particularly affecting the Southern and Central atolls. The MET Office has indicated that the unsettled weather is likely to persist until next Friday.

Police have urged those travelling by sea, including ferry operators and passengers, to remain vigilant, follow safety guidelines, and stay updated on the latest weather advisories issued by the MET Office.
