IndiGo has launched a new daily nonstop service between Thiruvananthapuram and Malé as the airline expands its regional network in response to increasing travel demand between India and the Maldives.
Thiruvananthapuram becomes the fourth Indian city with direct air connectivity to the Maldivian capital through IndiGo, alongside Bengaluru, Kochi and Mumbai. The introduction of the new service brings the airline’s total weekly flights linking Indian cities to Malé to 28.

The expansion comes as the Maldives enters its peak tourist season, a period that traditionally sees a rise in international arrivals. IndiGo expects the route to strengthen outbound travel from India, where visitor numbers to the Maldives have continued to show steady growth.
The service is being operated using ATR 72-600 aircraft, with flights scheduled to depart Thiruvananthapuram at around midday and arrive at Velana International Airport in Malé approximately one hour and 15 minutes later. The return flight is scheduled to depart Malé at 2:05 p.m.
Maldivian, the national carrier of the Maldives, currently operates direct flights on the same route.
