First Lady Sajidha Mohamed Inaugurates Vara Expo 2025 at Hulhumalé Central Park

First Lady Sajidha Mohamed officially inaugurated Vara Expo 2025 on Thursday evening at a special ceremony held at Hulhumalé Central Park. 

The three-day event, organised by the Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development, runs until Saturday, November 8.

According to the President’s Office, the expo brings together 166 exhibitors, including educational and training institutions, skills providers, and major employers. It aims to serve as a key platform for job placements and internships, while also featuring workshops and panel discussions on education, training, and labour market trends.

During the ceremony, the First Lady launched a publication titled Future-Ready Maldives: A New Era of Education and Skills, which outlines the Ministry’s recent achievements and ongoing initiatives to strengthen the national skills ecosystem.

Following the inauguration, the First Lady toured the exhibition area, joined by ministers and dignitaries in attendance.
