The Islamic Ministry has announced a call for proposals to develop a software system to support nationwide Fitr Zakat collection.
The platform is intended for use by the Maldives Zakat House.

According to the Ministry, only registered small and medium enterprises are eligible to submit proposals for the project. Interested parties must complete registration before submitting bids, with registration open until 14:00 Tuesday via an online form.
Bid submission has been scheduled for 11:00 on 26 November.
The Maldives Zakat House, established in January last year, aims to strengthen the country’s Zakat system. Islamic Minister Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has stated that Zakat contributions reached a record high last year, attributing the increase to the administration’s efforts to reinforce the system’s reliability.
