First Lady Joins Walk Marking International Day of The Girl Child

First Lady and Chief Guide of the Maldives, Sajidhaa Mohamed, took part in a walk organised yesterday by the Maldives Girl Guides Association to mark the International Day of the Girl Child.
The programme began with a ceremony at Aminiya School. In her remarks, the First Lady encouraged young Maldivian girls to become confident leaders, address key issues with courage, and serve as positive role models. She noted the Girl Guides’ longstanding service during national crises and urged students to carry their sense of responsibility and leadership into all aspects of their lives.

Following the ceremony, participants walked from Aminiya School to the Maldives Centre for Social Education. The event brought together members of the Girl Guides movement, including Stars, Little Maids, Girl Guides, Young Leaders, Leaders, former Commissioners, current Commissioners, and senior Association officials.
