Oceanman Swim has announced it will host an open water swimming event in K. Maafushi in April 2026.
Registration for the event opened in October, and a significant number of local and international swimmers have already signed up, with entries still open for interested participants.
Oceanman Maldives will follow the standard format of all Oceanman races, maintaining international benchmarks for safety and race execution. The event will feature multiple categories, including the 10km Oceanman, 5km Half Oceanman, 2km Sprint, 2km OceanFins, OceanKids, and OceanTeams.
Participants will compete across age groups ranging from under-nine for OceanKids, through junior (15–19), to master categories spanning 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 and above. Medals and trophies will be awarded to the top three overall participants and the top three in each age group. Additionally, the top ten in each age group will qualify for the Oceanman World Championships, an annual qualification-only competition.
