PSM Managing Director Nasreen Resigns

The Managing Director of state broadcaster Public Service Media (PSM), Ibrahim Nasreen, has resigned from his post.
Nasreen was appointed last year following the resignation of former MD Mohamed Saeed, who stepped down due to health reasons. Prior to becoming MD, Nasreen — who holds a PhD in Business from Malaysia — served as PSM’s Sales and Marketing Director for 14 years.

According to reports, he resigned after receiving an offer to take up a position at a government ministry.
Nasreen is the third person to serve as Managing Director of PSM during the current government’s term. The first appointee was Zeena Zahir, who took office on 28 November 2023. She resigned on 24 August last year without disclosing the reason for her departure.
