Woman Arrested over Domestic Dispute, Leaving Man Injured

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has arrested a 32-year-old local woman involved in a domestic dispute that left a 64-year-old man with a lower back injury.
Police began investigating the incident yesterday after reports that the couple, believed to be romantically involved, had used a sharp object during an altercation. Both sustained injuries, with the man suffering a wound to his lower back.

Today, authorities confirmed the woman’s arrest, and the Criminal Court has ordered that she be held in police custody for 30 days.
