Maldives Police Service Graduates 185 New Officers in Addu City

The Maldives Police Service has celebrated the graduation of 185 new officers from its 41st Basic Training Course in Addu City.

The cohort includes 107 male and 78 female officers who completed a comprehensive programme covering physical fitness, operational safety and tactics, laws and regulations, and practical policing skills.
Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen urged the new officers to prioritise public safety and security, serve with fairness, courage, and dedication, and uphold the integrity of the police uniform. He described policing as a challenging national duty and emphasised that the uniform represents trust and justice, requiring bravery, strength, determination, and fairness in service.
In a historic milestone for the Maldives Police Service, a female officer, Imsha Abdul Latheef, was named the best all-round student and received the Commissioner’s Excellence Award. The Commissioner highlighted this achievement as a landmark moment in the service’s 41-year training history.
Additional awards were presented recognising the best indoor and outdoor students, as well as squad performance, acknowledging excellence and dedication among the graduating officers.
