MNDF Launches 25th National Cadet Camp at Girifushi Training Centre

The 25th National Cadet Camp has commenced at the Girifushi Training Centre, organised by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF)’s College of Defence and Security Studies.

The camp is being held for selected cadets and band cadets from the National Cadet Corps.
Running from 27 December to 8 January, the camp has brought together 120 cadets from across the Maldives, including 90 male and 30 female participants.
The programme is designed to develop cadets into responsible and socially useful citizens capable of providing planned assistance during various incidents. It also focuses on strengthening cadets’ character, discipline, and religious and national spirit, while familiarising them with the MNDF training environment.
Cadets are being introduced to basic military skills and are encouraged to foster friendship and unity among themselves. Training modules at the camp include physical training, watermanship, drills, weapon training and shooting, basic field craft, combatives, leadership, basic firefighting, maritime studies, basic field first aid, and professional development.
