Authorities Hold Awareness Session for Hulhumalé Guesthouse Operators

An awareness programme was conducted to provide guidance and information to guesthouses operating in Hulhumalé. 

The initiative was organised in collaboration with the Tourist Police and Neighbourhood Police and focused on promoting responsible behaviour and safety for tourists.

Guesthouse operators were advised to inform visitors that wearing revealing clothes is not permitted on public beaches, highlighting a rise in incidents related to inappropriate clothing. They were also encouraged to remind tourists to take care of their valuables while at the beach.

The programme further instructed guesthouses to provide clear guidance to tourists to avoid booking-related issues during the peak season. Operators were urged to ensure all payment processes are completed promptly to prevent fraud and maintain smooth operations.
