In Hulhumalé Phase 1, the road between Apollo Towers and Fitron Residence on Fitron Magu remains incomplete despite the area’s transformation into a busy residential hub. All surrounding apartment towers are now occupied, bringing steady foot traffic, vehicles and daily activity to what has become a bustling community.

Yet the unfinished stretch continues to disrupt movement, forcing drivers to circle the block and residents to navigate uneven, partially developed ground.

Frustration has grown as construction appears to have stalled for an extended period, even as more families move in.

Concerns have also intensified since Aijal International School began operating nearby in 2024, serving children from preschool to Grade 3.

With young students attending school beside a bare and incomplete roadway, residents say the delay is not only inconvenient but increasingly worrying for safety in an area that is otherwise rapidly developing.
