Agreements Signed to Build Police Accommodation and Station in Atolls

Two companies have signed agreements to construct a new police accommodation block and a police station as part of efforts to strengthen the Maldives Police Service.

The signing ceremony was held at the Shaheed Hussain Adam Building, the headquarters of the Maldives Police Service. Deputy Commissioner of Police Farhad Fikury signed both agreements on behalf of the police.

One agreement was signed with Fedo Pvt Ltd to construct a police accommodation block in HA. Dhidhdhoo. The agreement was signed by the company’s Director, Ali Wasiu.

The second agreement was signed with Mims Construction Pvt Ltd for the construction of a police station in R. Maduvvari. The agreement was signed by the company’s Managing Director, Saudullah Hilmy, who also serves as the Thinadhoo North MP from the PNC in the current parliament.

According to the Maldives Police Service, the projects are intended to enhance operational capacity in the atolls and improve living conditions for officers stationed outside Malé.
