SIMDI Bev Announces Top Seven Finalists for Maldives MONIN Cup 2026

SIMDI Beverages has announced the top seven finalists for the Maldives MONIN Cup 2026, who will compete in the live finale on 18 May 2026 at Kurumba Maldives.
The competition is the Maldivian edition of MONIN’s international platform focused on promoting creativity, innovation and excellence within the beverage industry.

Following the launch of registrations through an online portal, bartenders from across the Maldives submitted original MONIN-based signature recipes as part of the entry process. SIMDI Bev said the competition drew strong participation from both resort and hospitality sectors, reflecting growing interest and expertise within the local bartending community.
According to the organisers, all submissions underwent an evaluation process aligned with MONIN’s international standards. Entries were assessed on creativity, flavour balance, technical execution, presentation and overall concept development.
The following participants were selected as the top seven finalists:
- Andreas Petra Gultom – JOALI BEING
- Jack Quinn – JA Manafaru Maldives
- Nir Muhammad Mikail Zain – Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa
- Rishmi Shehana Samarasinghe Arachchige – OBLU SELECT Lobigili
- Shayan Paul – Conrad Maldives Rangali Island
- Sujal Sirta – Anantara Veli Resort & Spa
- Udara Lakshan Dharmapriya Kandambige – Robinson Maldives
The finalists will compete in the live event at Niva, Kurumba Maldives, where they will present their creations before a judging panel comprising representatives from the MONIN international team and hospitality industry professionals.
The winner of the Maldives MONIN Cup 2026 will advance to the next official MONIN regional qualifying stage, with participation expenses covered by SIMDI Bev.
SIMDI Bev said the initiative forms part of its efforts to support local talent development, strengthen industry standards and promote the Maldives within the global bartending community.
