Man Found Dead in Maafannu Home, Police Say No Foul Play Suspected

A 54-year-old man was found dead in a house in Maafannu yesterday, according to the Maldives Police Service.

Police said the case was reported at 1:01 p.m. yesterday afternoon, after a person was found deceased in a residence on in Maafannu.

The deceased has been identified as Mohamed Nizar, 54, of Thothaparee in Hulhudhoo.

According to police, investigations conducted so far have not found any evidence of foul play or suspicious circumstances suggesting the involvement of another person in Nizar’s death.

Authorities said the investigation into the case is ongoing.
