Ooredoo Offers Six Months Free eSIM Service for Apple Watch Buyers

Ooredoo Maldives has announced a promotion offering six months of free eSIM connectivity for customers who purchase compatible Apple Watch models from the newly launched Apple Mono Store operated by Ell Mobile.

The telecom provider said the offer will be available for a limited period of two months and applies to Apple Watch Series models that support Ooredoo’s wearable connectivity service.

Under the promotion, customers who buy their devices from the Apple Mono Store will receive six months of Apple Watch eSIM service at no additional cost. The service allows users to stay connected directly through their watch, enabling them to make calls, send messages, stream music, receive notifications and access apps without needing their iPhone nearby.

According to Ooredoo Maldives, the feature offers added convenience for everyday activities such as workouts, travel and outdoor use by allowing users to remain connected through their wearable device alone.

The company said it is currently the only network provider in the Maldives offering wearable connectivity services for Apple devices. The introduction of the Apple Watch eSIM service also places the Maldives among only three countries within the global Ooredoo Group to launch the capability.

After the six-month promotional period ends, customers will be able to continue using the service for a monthly fee of MVR 199.
