Hotelier Maldives has opened public voting for the Hotelier Maldives Awards 2026, a national recognition programme for resort-based hospitality professionals, beginning 15 March.
Hotelier Maldives said that voting will remain open for one month, allowing industry stakeholders, colleagues, guests, and the wider public to select winners across multiple award categories.
The voting phase follows the conclusion of the nominations period, which received over 460 submissions from resorts across the Maldives’ 179 operational properties. The awards, presented by Bestbuy Maldives as Title Partner, aim to recognise both individual excellence and team performance in the resort hospitality sector.
Ali Naafiz, Editor of Hotelier Maldives, said the response to this year’s awards has been strong. “With public voting now open, the wider industry and community have the opportunity to recognise the professionals who contribute to the daily operations and guest experiences that define Maldivian hospitality,” he said.
Shortlisted nominees were finalised after eligibility checks and now proceed to the public voting stage, which will account for part of the final evaluation alongside assessments by an independent judging panel. The panel comprises hospitality and tourism professionals representing diverse areas of expertise in the sector.
The 2026 awards gala is scheduled for 26 April at Kurumba Maldives
