Villa College to Host “Campus Quest: Comic Edition 2026” Open Day
Villa College is set to host “Campus Quest: Comic Edition 2026” tomorrow and Saturday, 15 and 16 may, from 4:00pm to 10:00 pm, bringing together education, gaming, and pop culture in a large-scale festival at the Villa College QI Campus.
According to Villa College, the festival aims to provide an interactive experience that showcases academic opportunities through entertainment and immersive activities.
Villa College stated that all attendees will be transformed into “Heroes” upon entering the campus through a dedicated web application. Participants will receive a “Digital Hero Passport” and can collect digital stamps by visiting faculty-themed zones, completing challenges, and scanning QR codes. Those who collect all stamps will enter a lucky draw for a grand prize.
The event will feature themed activities representing different academic faculties. The Faculty of Shariah and Law will organise a “Live Moot Court” set in Gotham City, allowing participants to advocate for Batman or a shopkeeper. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Health Sciences will conduct a “Level 5 Outbreak” scenario inspired by The Avengers and Grey’s Anatomy.
The Faculty of Educational Studies will host a “Classroom Crisis” teaching game featuring Cartoon Network characters, while the School of Psychology and WeeCare Psychotherapy Centre will invite participants to solve a crime case.
Additional attractions include the “Pandora Education World” inspired by Avatar and cultural activities hosted by the Chinese Centre with a Kung Fu Panda theme.
Gaming and entertainment will also play a major role at the festival. Stated by the College, the event will include a large E-sports Zone developed in collaboration with Dhiraagu Gamers Guild, featuring PS5, VR, and racing simulation games. D&D Maldives will also host a Dungeons & Dragons game stall.
The main stage highlight will be the “Cosplay Ramp Walk”, where participants can dress as their favourite characters to compete for prizes sponsored by L-Mobile. Live music performances and student talent shows are also scheduled throughout the event.
Food outlets and vendors will operate in a dedicated zone during the festival. Refreshment stalls will include Moo Kitchen, Baked.mv, Coffee State, and Crumbs&Co, while vendors such as Daisies, AnimeCollectMV, Note Cosmetics, and L-Mobile will also participate.
The College stated that the event’s main objective is to introduce the public to Villa College’s educational opportunities and campus facilities in an engaging environment.
Students interested in joining the May 2026 intake will be able to apply during the event and receive offer letters immediately. Career guidance services, career assessments, and mental health and wellbeing support stalls will also be available.
