Passport Services to Remain Available Throughout Eid Holidays

Maldives Immigration Services has announced that passport services will continue during the government holidays for Hajj Day and Eid al-Adha.

Immigration said a special schedule has been arranged for passport services at offices in Malé, Hulhumalé, Addu City and several atoll locations during the holiday period beginning on 24 May and continuing until 29 May.

According to Immigration, all offices will remain closed on Wednesday, 27 May, which falls on Eid al-Adha.

However, passport applications can still be submitted at any time through the Imuga portal.

Immigration said offices in Hulhumalé and Addu City will issue passports daily from Sunday, 24 May, to Thursday, 28 May, between 8:30am and 4:00pm. Services will also be available on Friday, 29 May, from 9:00am to 11:00am.

Additionally, passport services will also be available at offices in Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Kulhudhuffushi, Fuvahmulah City, Thinadhoo City, Haa Alifu Atoll, Dhidhdhoo, Laamu Atoll, Fonadhoo, Noonu Atoll, Funadhoo, Dhaalu Atoll, Kudahuvadhoo and Baa Atoll, Eydhafushi.

These offices will operate from Sunday to Thursday between 8:30am and 4:00pm, and on Friday from 9:00am to 11:00am.

According to Immigration, tokens for passport services at atoll offices will be issued on 24 and 25 May from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Immigration also said people requiring urgent passport services in special circumstances, including medical emergencies, can contact the hotline at 9555333.

The authority noted that passport service schedules are adjusted each year during Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha holidays to minimise inconvenience to the public.
