Villa College to Host Dragon Boat Festival Cultural Event, Open to All
Villa College will host a Dragon Boat Festival cultural event on 18 June at its Student Lounge, offering everyone an opportunity to explore one of China’s most celebrated traditional festivals.
The event will take place from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and will feature a range of cultural and interactive activities designed to introduce attendees to the traditions and customs associated with the Dragon Boat Festival.
“Curious about one of China’s most traditional festivals? Come and explore the rich culture of the Dragon Boat Festival with us,” stated Villa College in its announcement.
According to the college, participants will have the opportunity to make fragrant sachets, paper dragon boats, and traditional paper-cut artworks. Attendees will also be able to learn how to wrap zongzi, a traditional Chinese rice dumpling, and sample a variety of treats.
The programme will also include classic games, prize-winning activities, and a Dragon Boat Festival-themed quiz aimed at testing participants’ knowledge of the cultural celebration.
Villa College stated that the event is open to those interested in learning more about Chinese culture and traditions in an engaging and interactive setting.
The college stated that students and members of the community are encouraged to attend the event and bring friends along to enjoy the cultural experience.
