Maldives Zakat House and Malaysian University Explore Collaboration Opportunities

The Maldives Zakat House and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments held discussions with a delegation from a Malaysian university, INCEIF University, to explore opportunities for collaboration in institutional development and capacity building.
According to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the meeting was held today with representatives from INCEIF University, a Malaysian Islamic university established in 2005 by Bank Negara Malaysia to develop human capital for the Islamic finance industry.
The INCEIF delegation included Deputy President of Operations Shazmeer Mokhtar and Director of the Registrar’s Office, Student Experience and Alumni Relations Siti Fariza Mohd Dahlan.
The discussions focused on strengthening the capacity of the Maldives Zakat House through strategic cooperation, professional development and knowledge-sharing initiatives. The parties exchanged views on potential areas of collaboration to improve organisational growth, operational capabilities and zakat management practices.
The ministry said both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the partnership and developing initiatives that support institutional excellence, professional growth and sustainable contributions to zakat management and social welfare efforts in the Maldives.
INCEIF University, formerly known as the Global University of Islamic Finance and International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance, specialises in Islamic finance education and research.
