State Minister for Housing, Land and Urban Development Ahmed Nazim Mohamed has said the scoring and selection of applicants under the government’s housing scheme is being carried out through a fully digitised system designed to prevent tampering and outside influence.

Speaking on PSM News’ Raajje Miadhu programme, Nazim said the automated system will manage the entire selection process, including the verification stages, without manual intervention.

He said the ministry collected information from relevant government institutions on applicants’ housing, land and property ownership, education and employment to create a centralised database for verifying the details submitted in application forms.

According to Nazim, the system continuously records activities carried out through the Housing Portal, allowing authorities to audit and immediately review any suspicious activity.

All applications were submitted through the Housing Portal, which will also be used to issue notifications and communicate with applicants throughout the process. The ministry will continue to provide updates on the verification process through the portal.

With applications for the government’s first housing scheme now closed, authorities are currently working to verify the accuracy of the information provided by applicants.
