Hulhumalé Hospital has launched three new specialist departments, adding dedicated gastroenterology, neurology, and urology services to its clinical operations.
Minister of Health, Family and Welfare Geela Ali attended the facility today to launch the services and formally open the units. Hospital management subsequently led a tour of the newly established areas to display the medical equipment and treatment facilities prepared for incoming patients.
The new departments allow the hospital to manage complex cases internally, providing diagnostic testing and ongoing management for digestive system diseases, neurological disorders, and urinary tract conditions.
Hospital officials state that providing these specialist consultations on-site directly reduces the need for local residents to seek referrals or travel elsewhere for care.
