Former Home Minister Umar Naseer has said the government should cap the share of resort dollar revenues it converts at 10%, warning that taking a larger share could harm the economy. Umar said the government should reduce its own expenditure, arguing that after increasing spending and allowing waste and corruption, it cannot turn to business owners’ money or property to make up for shortfalls.
