Maldivian will add Sunday services to Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi from 13 December, increasing the frequency of both routes to six flights a week.

The national airline currently serves the two southern Indian cities on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The revised schedule will leave Tuesday as the only day without a service on either route.

The additional flights are intended to support growing travel demand between the Maldives and India, which remains a major destination for Maldivians. The airline previously increased both routes to five weekly services in December last year.

Bookings have opened for the new Sunday flights.

Maldivian currently operates scheduled international services to seven destinations across four countries. Its network includes Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi in India, Dhaka in Bangladesh, three cities in China and Melbourne in Australia.
