Ministry Signs Agreements for Infrastructure Development in Five Islands

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development has signed agreements to execute infrastructure development projects across five islands.

According to an official announcement published on the ministry’s official social media channel, State Minister Ismail Hameed signed the documents on behalf of the ministry, while Deputy Managing Director Al-Fadhil Mohamed Jamsheed represented the MTCC during the formal signing proceedings.

According to a statement released by the ministry, the newly signed agreements encompass the following island projects:

  • Sh. Funadhoo: Land reclamation and coastal protection works under Phase 2 of the island’s development scheme.
  • GDh. Madaveli: Upgrading works for the local harbour facility.
  • F. Dharanboodhoo: Establishment of coastal protection measures.
  • K. Gaafaru: Construction for the island harbour.
  • K. Maafushi: Land reclamation and coastal protection initiatives under Phase 2.
