Two Arrested in Hulhumalé Phase 1 for Alcohol Possession and Trafficking

Two foreign nationals have been remanded in custody for 15 days following a joint law enforcement operation that uncovered illicit alcohol in Hulhumalé Phase 1.
Police stated that the suspects, identified as Bangladeshi nationals Thushar Gazi, 22, and Nobi Noor, 30, were apprehended on September 9 near the Coral C9 flat area.
The arrest was executed through a coordinated operation between Counter Narcotics Intelligence and Hulhumalé Special Enforcement, following reports of illicit alcohol possession, consumption, and trafficking.
Subsequent searches conducted at the suspects’ residence yielded 29 bottles of contraband alcohol.
The police are continuing to investigate the case.
