SIMDI Resu to Mark International Coffee Day with New illy Golden Hour Series
SIMDI Resu, the exclusive distributor of illy coffee in the Maldives, will mark International Coffee Day on 1 October with the launch of a new range of drinks under the illy Golden Hour Series.
The illy Day 2026 celebration will be held at JEN Maldives, Malé by Shangri-La from 4pm to 6pm, in partnership with SIMDI Resu. The event will bring together hospitality professionals, industry representatives, partners, influencers and coffee enthusiasts.
The Golden Hour Series features specially crafted drinks inspired by the experience of enjoying coffee during the golden hour. Guests attending the event will be able to sample the new creations as part of a product experience.
The event will also feature an illy Masterclass, where participants can learn about the preparation and presentation of specially crafted illy beverages.
An interactive DIY Drinks Station will allow guests to prepare selected drinks and experiment with different combinations.
Following the launch, the illy Golden Hour Series will be available at selected cafés and restaurants across the Maldives, including Cozé Coffee Club, Break Cafe & Bistro, Shellbeans, White Cove Restaurant, Delizus, Pasta Mania, Citron by Lemongrass, Submore Central and JEN Maldives, Malé by Shangri-La.
As part of the wider celebration, selected cafés will hold an illy Day Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm on 1 October.
Participating outlets will offer 20 per cent off selected special drinks, alongside complimentary classic coffee beverages including espresso, Americano and cappuccino.
The participating cafés are Break Cafe & Bistro, Cozé Coffee Club, White Cove Restaurant and Shellbeans.
The main illy Day event at JEN Maldives will run from 4pm to 6pm on 1 October, with the wider promotions taking place at participating cafés during the same day.
