The Maldives Hajj Corporation has announced plans to operate direct flights from Gan International Airport to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for Ramadan Umrah pilgrims, although Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) and Maldivian have yet to announce the flights.

The corporation said the special service would operate on 20 February, covering the final 15 days of Ramadan and offering residents of Addu City and the southern atolls a direct travel option for the pilgrimage.

The package for the final 15 days of Ramadan is priced at MVR 48,965, while the full-month Ramadan Umrah package costs MVR 54,965, according to the corporation.

Reservations are open through the corporation’s Faheli online portal and its official website, hajj.mv.

The package prices differ from those announced by the corporation in August, when the full-month package was priced at MVR 55,965 and the final 15-day package at MVR 50,965. The latest prices are MVR 1,000 and MVR 2,000 lower, respectively, than the August prices.

The corporation has not been reported to have provided further details on the direct flights, including the operating airline.
