Maldivian has introduced the first King Air 360 aircraft in the Maldives, adding an eight-seat aircraft to its fleet for luxury resort transfers and private charter services.

The national airline announced the arrival of the aircraft on 2 November, saying its introduction was made possible through a partnership with Nilaa Coral Island.

The aircraft will initially provide dedicated transfers for guests travelling to Nilaa Coral Island, while also being available for private charters to other destinations across the Maldives.

The eight-passenger aircraft is designed for premium travel and can operate at night, offering an alternative to seaplane transfers, which are generally unavailable after dark. Its pressurised cabin also allows it to fly at higher altitudes than seaplanes.

Maldivian said the King Air 360 features advanced aviation technology and a refined cabin experience, adding that the aircraft would expand its premium travel services.

Island Aviation has said the service will also be accessible to businesses, private organisations and individuals. The airline plans to make bookings available through its online platform.
