Scholarships Announced for Taylor’s University Programs at Villa College

Villa College and Villa Foundation have jointly launched a scholarship scheme in collaboration with Taylor’s University, offering students the opportunity to pursue a range of educational programs at Villa College.

This partnership aims to facilitate higher education by providing scholarships that cover 50% of tuition fees.

Under this initiative, a total of 30 scholarships are available, providing selected students with a 50% reduction in tuition costs for their chosen programs by Taylor’s University.

The scholarship covers five distinctive study programs offered by Taylor’s University:

  • Bachelor of Culinary Management (Honours): offers ten scholarships. This three-year program will be held at Villa College’s QI campus. Eligibility requirements include passing with a minimum of E grades in at least two subjects in the A/L examination or an MNQF Level 4 qualification or an A pass in English from O-Level examinations or an equivalent course, completion of an O-Level examination level entry examination, or having a Higher Secondary Education in English Medium.
  • Bachelor of Mass Communication: provides five scholarships. Over a span of three years, students will study at the QI campus of Villa College. Eligible candidates should have obtained a minimum of E grades in three subjects in the A-level examination and have completed an upper secondary examination, A C pass in English in O-level examination or hold an advanced certificate in a relevant field.
  • Bachelor of International Hospitality Management: offers five scholarships. Conducted at the QI campus of Villa College, this three-year program requires candidates to have a minimum E pass in at least two subjects in the A/L examination or hold an advanced certificate.
  • Master of International Hospitality Management: offers five scholarships for its one-year program at the QI campus of Villa College. Applicants need a CGPA of 2.50 or above in a bachelor’s degree recognized by the college. Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor’s degree recognized by the Government of Maldives or Malaysia, holding a CGPA between 2.00 and 2.50, and having at least five years of experience in a relevant field are also eligible.
  • Master of Mass Communication program: presents five scholarships for the one-year course at the QI campus of Villa College. Eligibility requirements include a CGPA of 2.50 or above in a bachelor’s degree recognized by the college. Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor’s degree recognized by the Government of Maldives or Malaysia, possessing a CGPA between 2.00 and 2.50, and having a minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field can apply.

The application deadline for these scholarships is August 24, 2023.
