In an official statement, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs voiced concerns over some companies arranging Umrah trips without prior authorisation. The Ministry stressed the importance of adhering to established regulations and warned against engaging with any organisation that disregards these guidelines.
All parties involved have been advised to refrain from transacting with such unlicensed entities and to ensure adherence to the approved procedures governing Umrah travel.
Highlighting the situation, the Ministry declared that any individuals found contravening the stipulated regulations will be held accountable for any ensuing repercussions.
With respect to authorised operators, the Ministry disclosed that it has granted permission to a total of 41 companies to facilitate Umrah journeys. Among these, 12 entities are slated to have their licences expire by November of the current year, as reported by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
Observing the existing regulations, each licensed company is entitled to arrange Umrah trips for a designated span of two years.
For information regarding the list of authorised companies permitted to organise Umrah travel, interested parties are encouraged to consult the Ministry of Islamic Affairs’ official website.
