Muizzu Pledges to Introduce Air Ambulance Service

People’s National Congress’ (PNC) presidential candidate Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced plans to implement an Air Ambulance service in the Maldives.
During his visit to Dhaalu Atoll as part of his campaign for the upcoming presidential elections, Muizzu emphasised the strides made in the country’s healthcare sector during the tenure of former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom.
Muizzu highlighted the contrasting trajectory witnessed over the past five years, underscoring the significance of bolstering the healthcare sector’s development.
Citing the successful introduction of Sea Ambulances in various regions during President Yameen’s administration, Muizzu explained that these initiatives have already benefitted numerous citizens.
Muizzu outlined a vision wherein the pilot project’s success would lead to the expansion of the air ambulance service. This expansion aims to facilitate swift patient transfers between airports, contributing to improved healthcare accessibility across the country.
Muizzu expressed optimism that this endeavour would bring satisfaction to the populace, enhancing the movement of patients and ensuring their prompt medical attention.
