Greater Gov’t Support Could Have Enhanced Male’ City Council’s Impact, Says Muizzu

Male’ City Council’s potential could have been harnessed further with government support, according to President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. 

During a meeting with the Male’ City Council employees in his capacity as Mayor, Muizzu expressed that many of the city’s issues could have been addressed if the government had cooperated more fully.

Muizzu highlighted the existence of differing political opinions between the Male’ City Council and the government, leading to a lack of complete cooperation from the current administration. 

He pledged that his upcoming administration would prioritize the city councils and their essential role in serving the people, irrespective of political differences. He affirmed his commitment to finding solutions to the challenges facing Male’.

Having been elected as Mayor of Male’ City in 2021, Muizzu is known for successfully addressing numerous issues affecting the city’s residents during his tenure. 

He attributed the council’s achievements to the dedicated efforts of its employees, expressing gratitude for their cooperation and encouraging them to continue their diligent service.
