Hassan Latheef Declares Candidacy for Party President

The Interim Chairperson of The Democrats (TD) and Member of Parliament for Henveiru West Constituency, Hassan Latheef has announced his candidacy for the position of the party’s President in the upcoming internal elections, via a statement posted on ‘X’.
He disclosed that he has submitted his application for the presidential position and encouraged members of the newly formed party to unite and stay on course to address the challenges that lie ahead.

TD initiated the application process for various leadership positions last Sunday and have declared that it will remain open until the 15th of the following month. The party has stipulated that any member who enrolls before this deadline is eligible to apply for these leadership roles.
Among the positions in contention are Party President, Party Vice President, as well as leaders for the women and youth wings of the party. The internal election is scheduled to take place on the 2nd of December.
