Muizzu Commends China-Maldives Friendship Bridge as Maldive’s Most Remarkable Development Project

Maldives President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has praised the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge as a significant milestone in the country’s development.
In an interview with Xinhua News Agency, Muizzu acknowledged the strong diplomatic relationship between China and Maldives, citing the successful collaboration on various projects.
Among these projects, Muizzu specifically highlighted the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge, a venture initiated under the leadership of Former President Yameen Abdhul Gayyoom and constructed by a Chinese construction company.
According to Muizzu, the bridge has brought substantial progress to the Greater Male’ area, improving the lives of numerous Maldivians. He also commended China’s involvement in housing and road construction initiatives, underscoring the continuous need for cooperation and assistance from various nations, including China, to effectively carry out such endeavors.
Muizzu’s comments reflect the positive impact of international collaborations on Maldives’ development, emphasizing the importance of ongoing cooperation to further enhance the country’s infrastructure and living standards.
