MNDF Identifies Deceased Body Found Near Dhoonidhoo

An individual reported missing from Male’ City yesterday has been identified by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) as the deceased body found floating near K. Dhoonidhoo.

According to MNDF officials, it is believed that the person in question had jumped into the waters near Rasfannu Artificial Beach.
The police received a report about the dead body at around 09:10 am today, with the discovery site being Dhoonidhoo, known for its custodial jail.
Coast Guard divers conducted thorough searches within a 41,590 square meter area adjacent to Rasfannu.
The body was discovered by the crew of an MTCC ferry while traversing the area. It was subsequently transported to Male’ City with the assistance of the Coast Guard.
