Statistics released by the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services reveal that the Ministry received and attended to a total of 39 cases of gender-based violence in the month of September, which included 35 females and four males.

Comparatively, the month of August saw 46 cases of gender-based violence.
In September, the most commonly reported form of domestic violence was physical violence/abuse, with 18 cases documented during the month.
Additionally, during September month, there were 10 cases of emotional abuse / verbal abuse, six cases of intimidating, four cases of sexual voilence / abuse and one case of neglect.
In September 2023, the Ministry of Gender, Family, and Social Services received a total of 213 reported cases concerning various issues related to child welfare and family well-being.
