Gender Ministry Attended to 92 Cases of Violence Against Children in September

Statistics released by the Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services reveal that the Ministry received and attended to a total of 92 cases of violence against children in the month of September 2023, which included 50 girls and 42 boys.

This is a slight decrease compared to the month of August 2023, which saw a total of 96 cases, which included 59 girls and 37 boys.

In September, the most commonly reported form of child abuse was sexual abuse, with 23 cases documented during the month.

Additionally, there were 20 cases of negligence, 16 cases of witness to domestic violence, 15 cases of physical abuse, six cases of victim to harassment, four cases of victim to bullying, three cases of other, three cases of emotional abuse, two cases of blackmail

In September 2023, the Ministry of Gender, Family, and Social Services received a total of 213 reported cases concerning various issues related to child welfare and family well-being.
