The “Transparency Maldives Climate Youth Camp 2023 – Resilient Youth, Resilient Communities” is an opportunity for young individuals to come together and explore issues related to climate change and social accountability. 

Scheduled to take place from 5th to 10th November 2023, this camp is tailored for those with a passion for initiating social change and being change-makers in their communities.

The primary objectives of this camp are as follows:

• Enhance participants’ understanding of the causes and consequences of climate change.
• Facilitate discussions on real-life experiences linked to climate-induced disasters, resource scarcity, growing inequalities, and the refugee crisis.
• Foster active citizenship by equipping participants with social accountability tools, including the practice of conducting social audits.
• Introduce young people to audio-visual storytelling techniques, enabling them to effectively communicate advocacy messages and promote climate solutions.

The Climate Youth Camp 2023 is open to young individuals between the ages of 18 and 24.
