Nareesh Announces Candidacy for Upcoming Parliamentary Elections

Deputy Mayor of Male’ City Council Ahmed Nareesh has officially declared his candidacy for the upcoming parliamentary elections in a statement made on Monday.
Nareesh, representing the PPM-PNC coalition, will vie for the parliamentary seat in the Kulhudhuffushi North constituency, which is notably the only city situated in the northern region of the Maldives.

The decision to run for this position comes in response to a series of requests from the constituency’s residents.
Furthermore, Nareesh has called upon fellow PPM-PNC members for their support and assistance in securing the party’s nomination through the primary process.
It is worth noting that Nareesh is currently Mayor of Male’ City, following the election of Mayor Dr. Mohamed Muizzu as the new President of the Maldives.
