This comes as a pivotal step after an eight-year lapse since the last census, which took place from September to October in the preceding year, with the released data made public on March 30 of the current year.
The Statistics Bureau is intensively engaged in collating provincial profiles built upon the census results. To facilitate the understanding and utilisation of this data at the island level, the Bureau is actively searching for 20 trainers.
These selected individuals will play a key role in sharing the census insights with the Atolls and educating them on the practical application of the collected information.
Selected trainers will undergo a 3-day training programme tailored for the dissemination of the 2022 Census data. Following the completion of this course, a subsequent two-day training session will be conducted within the Atolls.
As part of their remuneration, these appointed individuals will receive an allowance for the duration of their training and the days engaged in their duties. The disbursement of this allowance will be made upon the successful completion of both training and assigned responsibilities.
Prospective candidates keen on these roles are encouraged to complete the trainer application form available on the Maldives Bureau of Statistics website before 14:00 on Thursday, 2nd November.
