Second Round of Binveriya and Gedhoruveriya Applications Will Not be Cancelled, Says Muizzu

President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has confirmed that the second round of the Binveriya and Gedhoruveriya project will continue as scheduled, quelling concerns of cancellation, addressing the residents of the initial phase of Hulhumale’, yesterday.

The Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure stated that the list of beneficiaries for the second round of land and flats will not be finalised until the conclusion of the current term.

Muizzu affirmed his commitment to persist with ongoing housing initiatives without interruption. He pledged to initiate work promptly upon the public release of the final list of beneficiaries, ensuring citizens are provided with the promised housing under his tenure.

Furthermore, Muizzu reassured the public that there would be no requirement for resubmission of housing applications. 

He expressed his determination to extend housing provisions to as many eligible applicants as feasible.
