PNC Appoints Moosa Siraj as Parliamentary Group Leader

The People’s National Congress (PNC) has named Fonadhoo MP Moosa Siraj as its Parliamentary Group (PG) leader, as announced during the parliamentary session today by Speaker Mohamed Aslam. 

The PNC officially communicated this decision to the Parliament on November 29.

Moosa Siraj, previously affiliated with the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), parted ways with the party on August 21 during the last presidential election. He shifted his support to Mohammed Muizzu and aligned himself with the Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM). 

However, following Muizzu’s assumption of the presidency, Moosa Siraj switched allegiance to the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC).
